Base Guide • Parga

Where to stay in Parga and around it

The right base depends on how much walking, beach time and driving you want. Stay in the town core for harbor evenings and easy steps. Choose Valtos for beach-first days. Use Lichnos or the Anthousa side only if you are happy to rely more on the car.

Choose the base before the room

1

Stay in the old town or harbor side for easy evenings

This is the best base if the point of Parga is the postcard harbor, the evening walk, the castle view and going out without driving again after sunset.

2

Use Valtos when the beach is the real daily anchor

Valtos works well if your mornings and early afternoons belong to the beach first and the town becomes the later add-on, not the other way around.

3

Choose Lichnos for a quieter bay rhythm

Lichnos fits better when you want a calmer beach setting and you are comfortable treating town visits as a deliberate outing rather than your everyday evening routine. It is an especially clean fit if the stay itself sits at Lichnos Beach Hotel, where you can spend the whole day comfortably and keep Parga town for a late evening walk.

4

Anthousa or the Sarakiniko side only if you want the outer coast

This side makes sense when you already know that the stay will revolve around driving, wider coastal movement and quieter evenings away from the town center.

5

Parking and stairs matter as much as the view

Parga's shape means that a room with a beautiful view can still come with more steps, tighter access or extra parking considerations. Decide first how much walking and carrying you are happy with.

Practical tips

Pick the zone before the booking site

Once you know whether you want harbor evenings, easy beach access or quieter outer-coast mornings, the actual room choice becomes much simpler.
