Walk the harbor and old town first
That is the real opening move in Parga. The harbor, the lanes and the evening rhythm explain the town faster than any outer beach run.
The right way to use Parga is to keep the town core, the beach day and the true extra moves separate. Start with the harbor and old town, read the whole setting from the castle, then give proper time either to Valtos, to Lichnos or to the northern side instead of forcing everything into one overloaded day.

From the castle you understand how the town, Panagia, Kryoneri and Valtos sit together. It is the simplest way to read the shape of Parga before deciding the rest of the stay.
This is the sea side that still belongs to the walkable town day. It works when you want water close to the center without turning the whole plan into a road move.
Each one deserves proper time. Valtos still feels tied to town. Lichnos already feels like a fuller southbound beach commitment.
Anthousa and Ali Pasha Castle work best on the day when you already want the higher road, the northern side and the wider coastal view beyond the compact center.
Sarakiniko is better when it has its own space inside a northern route. It is weaker when squeezed into a town day that is already full.
Parga is not only beaches. One of the best parts of the stay is simply coming back for dinner, a drink and the harbor atmosphere after the coast.
Those inland moves are worth doing, but not as rushed add-ons. They belong to the day when you are not also trying to solve the whole coast.
Parga works best when the walkable town, the real beach day and the outer-coast or inland extensions each get their own space instead of competing inside one overloaded plan.
